The human brain and nervous system controls our bodies. Included in this program are many aspects of the system including: Spinal cord, reflexes, nerve impulses, nerve cell structure and peripheral nervous system. Covered also are the brain, brain stem, cerebrum, cerebellum and hypothalamus. Also presented, are brain research areas such as left and right brain and memory. Students will see the effects of drugs, including alcohol, on the functioning of the brain and nervous system.
